you don't have to run the license manager as admin if you know what you are doing. All it really does is to create a file X2.LIC in the installation folder with your license. If you copy it there yourself you are sorted

No problems here. Registration tried and all looks fine, all the new features are there and working. That is for the 32-bit version....

Hey Folks:

I'm experiencing a refresh problem with the latest beta, 1.8.1.16 [Unicode] 7/1/2011. That is, panes aren't refreshing when files get deleted; I have to do Ctrl-R to see the changes. This is true in local folders on my hard drive and in network folders. Anybody else seeing this?

Thanks,
Brig

PS. XP, 32 bit.

EDIT (5:17pm):
Never mind. It's not doing it anymore. Computer's been acting a little funny all day. Must be a full moon somewhere.

What's a lifetime compared to 6 years, 5 months and 5 days...

Sorry, couldn't resist.  It's a good thing it's going to be a long while before Vanessa hits university...

Some of us have been living quite well without a lifetime license. But one day, there's that moment ...  :)
In starving countries, lifetime licenses are still a good sign of duration. Maybe the last one.

Well, as lian phrased it: "lifetime assurance" - it rather gives one that teenage feeling of invulnerability... this way, I reckon if I drive the forklift over a cliff, Nikos will be there to catch it.  Or maybe I read the terms and conditions a little loosely...

Probably nikos bundled it with the liability to save Greece.

Which, as that's coming out of your Germanic pocket, makes me feel perfectly content to drive with my eyes closed (just to tempt fate)...

Germany is on the way to be the next country which faces a crisis unless we stop that. Weird enough to know that we will need Greek money then.

Word is that Italy is going to force the issue anyway, as nobody can bail them out.  So, Greece defaults, Ireland flaps in the wind with a quietly dull sound, Portugal and Spain slip into the ocean.  You can go back to Pfennige, we'll go back to sheep-farming, and it'll all be just like it never happened.  (Except with a rather dented forklift at the bottom of the ravine with a mangled squawking Kilmatead under it...)
