The new version has added a filter/select/search thing as part of the address bar - that seems like a potentially useful feature. However, x2 now also auto-jumps to that filter box when I try to navigate to files by typing their (partial) names on my keyboard. It seems this is triggered by entering more than three characters within a timeout period.
Is there any way to disable this behavior? I've browsed through the menu items, regular options and the external-program-managed advanced options, but if there's an option for it, I've missed it.
I do most of my navigation by typing in a bit of a file or folder name, and I'm (muscle-memory) used to being able to use up/down-arrow to select the right file in case I make a typo or have almost navigated to the item I want - when focus switches to the filter box thingy, the arrow keys instead pop up the menu for changing the mode of the box. Having to hit escape to get back to the file list is pretty bad with all those years of muscle memory training
Also, is there a way to navigate to the new filterbox thing? I can do shift-tab to get to the (normal part of the) address bar, but hitting tab from there doesn't move focus to the filterbox.
PS: don't know if this is a bug or lack of time, but the "Miscellaneous" section of keyboard customization seem to contain only command ids rather than descriptive names:
.Also, minor thing, but it would be nice if the dialog was resizable
